Modeling Experience '09 Week One "People's Choice" winner WOW White on White Session is MONIQUE!

Wow what a week. I watched the votes come in each day and it seemed like the numbers were close but Monique and Ari really put on a blistering finish. In the end it was Monique's getting a lot of her junior friends to vote for her that made the difference. Congratulations Monique you will receive a $25 Itunes gift card and a custom personalized Modeling Experience '09 T shirt. This weeks voting is going to be through the comments section that goes with the video. So watch the headshots videos and choose your favorite model and vote. Modeling Experience '09 Week Two "Headshots"

We have completed week two of our Modeling Experience and now it's time to vote for your favorite model. This weeks voting is going to be a little different in that you vote by posting a vote in the comment section of the video. Change in voting process

Sorry for the changes but the voting process is a work in progress. This next weeks voting is going to be tied to the comments on the slide shows. This will help us a lot in keeping track by separating the votes. So to vote, watch the slide show and then post a comment with your vote. Make sure you identify yourself so we know who is voting. Update on Modeling Experience '09

Hi Models and friends:
I just wanted to congratulate all our models on "getting out the vote". The competition has been fierce with the lead changing daily. Dennis is in the process of compiling the current vote totals and we will let you know where everyone stands.
I need all of the models to email me back with your T-shirt size. We want to provide the weekly winner with a nice custom printed t-shirt as one of the weekly prizes for the "People's Choice".
I posted an update on the blog regarding the voting. For next week I'm asking that the people that vote for you first look at your images on the blog to qualify to vote. I realize that we are on the honor system and that there is some heavy competition but I trust you. That's my nature. Lets be fair and let's have fun!
I am working on the guide sheets for next week (SLSquared) standing, sitting, leaning and lying. You can also look in magazines and clothing catalogs to get ideas. I will mail them to you when available.
We are going to be having a "Genius Squad" think tank meeting for our models on Sunday May 18 between 3:00 and 4:00. This will be to discuss what you have thought of the experience and this will give us a chance to ask how we can improve things. Please come come and bring one or both of your parents and perhaps a friend. There will be refreshments and we will be displaying and showcasing your images in our gallery. We hope you will come, this will be a big help to us to get your feedback and also your ideas.
We are now half way through photographing for the headshots session. We will post every ones show and some images late Saturday night. Voting starts Sunday for the "Headshots" session. Thanks for participating in the Modeling Experience '09. We hope you are having fun and telling all your friends. Correction!

Our email was incorrectly listed in the last post (corrected now). Thanks Teresa for letting me know. The correct email to vote for your favorite model is billvancuran@gmail.com. ALSO... We have had some questions regarding the competition and voting so here is the scoop. Each week you can vote for your favorite model for the weekly "People's Choice" Award. Those votes will also continue to add up for an overall "people's Choice" winner. So if your model participates in all 5 weeks you can vote for them 5 times! There will also be a Professional Judges Winner which will be chosen by professional photographers across the country.
So far the competition has been fierce. Ari, Casey and Monique have had people submitting votes for them constantly yesterday and today and are very close. Asia had a large group of votes come in this afternoon as has Kaitlyn. With several days to go it's anyones guess who will be this weeks winner. This weeks voting closes Saturday Night at midnight and we will announce the WOW week winner on Monday.

You get to vote to help choose the winner. View the slide shows below and vote for your favorite. Then follow our email link here or email us at billvancuran@gmail.com to place your vote. Be sure to indicate on the title line of your email that you are voting. In the email body text indicate who you are one vote per person and email address ( except people in the same family) and of course indicate who you are voting for. Remember class of '09 members earn the models additional votes if they also provide mailing information about themselves so we can send them special offers for this coming senior season. Have fun! Modeling Experience '09 Starts

Saturday we kicked off our '09 version of The Modeling Experience. This years Experience is designed to be a lot more like the competition you see on TV and will give each model a progressive experience on what it is like to model. Our first session is the simplest called the WOW (white on white) session, It is a head and shoulders session utilizing a white background and models in white or very light tops. There will be five sessions in all. Each one will progress in involvement with the last being the "Design Session" where each model will take everything they have learned and design their own custom session where they get to go over the top showing what they have learned and display their personality. The models will be competing for weekly "Peoples Choice" Awards and a Professionally judged Grand Price Winner will be chosen from the model who scores the highest total on 3 of the 5 sessions. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize package worth over $500 including $250 cash. To compete for this the models have to participate in at east 3 of the sessions. Our model selection is pretty much set for this year but we do have a couple more openings available. To be eligible to participate the participant must currently be a junior in high school.
